SHE SMILES TOO
By Roland E. Williams
Do they not see it?…
See the chin that holds ground fearlessly
The back arched but slightly
As would a demi-goddess swirling through the sunlight
The shoulders poised in recognition of her beauty
Do they not feel it?
Feel a presence only she can bring about
There as hard as a stone, yet mild as a lamb
Perhaps feeling too much, but knowing what she feels
Even if you have heard speak harshly, she smiles too…
Do they not want it?
Want the tremors she would put through their being
The jitters she would send to their souls
The fire she will arouse within their hearts
Do they not see they must feel the want for you
